Songstress
Barbara J. Jamerson's sultry singing of specifically selected thematic songs
deepens the unique twist of These Stories Saved My Life. Jamerson's
powerful voice, and extensive vocal range intertwines illustrations of the
plights of the women and men of the production.
Jamerson, who is popular in San Diego Jazz and Blues venues, currently
performs in the Babcock & Storey Room of the Hotel Del Coronado, as well in the
San Diego based Blues in School project. Having gained experience in Fro
Brigham's Preservation Band, Jamerson excelled in night clubs and lounge
performances in New York City, Boston, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, and most major
cities in California.
Her repertoire includes performances with Pacific Brass and Electric, Hot and
Spicy Etoufee. Jamerson's extinguished singing career blossomed as she
toured with three very unique female groups, Sophisticates, Capricorn, and Women
in Jazz. Jamerson is an internationally recognized entertainer who has
toured Japan, Vietnam, Jamaica, and Europe.
A dedicated and versatile singer, Jamerson appears with her own group Barbara
Jamerson and Two Deep, a highly respected Popular Trio, in a variety of venues.
